In the pipeline

With the dog and cat series finally completed, I am now currently working on a new body of pictures inspired by stories that I have written or amazing things that I have heard people say. I was listening, for example, to the Landscape Gardener Dan Pearson being interviewed on Desert Island Discs. It was so magical, like listening to a sprite. He started talking about his childhood and my mind was flooded with imagery. It was truly inspiring. I am now working on a series of illustrations about a boy-gardener.

I am also currently working on a board book for children about colour and am in the process of designing my own range of t.shirts and greeting cards. A note here. I have of course been selling art/greeting cards of my illustrations for some years and Magma, London produced t-shirts and tote bags and cushions from several of my dog bags so I am not entirely new to this. What I am planning now is sets of illustrations that are specifically designed for cards or t-shirts, something that I have not done before.

On the book front, I have three illustrated children's books in the pipeline, but am leaning towards self-publishing and, potentially, crowd-funding because thanks to the internet we can. If anybody can help to point me in the right direction, please drop me a line - I would be hugely grateful.

I love private commissions - who doesn't - they keep the wolves at bay. Commissions in process currently include an illustration of two very beautiful whippets and a Children's Birthday Portrait. If you are interested in an illustration of your dog or cat, or a birthday portariat of a loved one, please drop me a line.

I am also in the process of applying to have a selection of my illustrations listed on iStockphoto (Getty Images) and Society 6, a print on demand web company, so watch this space.
