Colour Bird is an introduction to colour for young children. Using imaginative imagery, it aims to make recognition of the primary colours in the spectrum fun and involving. Colour is about light, and this book also aims to show the light and beauty within the young readers themselves.

I purchased multiple copies of the book as it is a fantastic story which is beautifully illustrated. It its accessible for children and early readers and carries a truly heart-warming message. It appeals to adults (staff) and children alike. As a school/English Hub which works hard to encourage reading and sourcing books that are not necessarily ‘mainstream’, I am really pleased that I came across this charming story and have been able to share with our staff and children. Iain W, Executive Headteacher, Kent (65 copies)
Captivating, thought provoking illustrations and wonderful text which has held the attention perfectly for children aged 2-4 years, again, again and again. Great to share on a cosy one-to-one basis and to read in groups large and small. Each and every nursery child has absolutely loved the colour bird. You should see the smiles on their faces as they turn each page and independently recite the story….pure joy! Susan H, Nursery Manager, Leeds (145 copies)
